The Whitney Museum: Architect & Architecture

Problem: The project called for an engaging infographic that visually communicated the significance of the Whitney Museum of American Art and its architect, Renzo Piano, while reflecting the museum’s architectural character.
Solution: I designed an infographic that integrates Renzo Piano’s image into the structure of the museum itself, visually linking the architect to his work. I used a white headline to evoke clouds and selected a boxy font to mirror the building’s geometric lines. To highlight the museum’s distinct form, I skewed the base to create a sense of outward projection. Red accents were added to energize the palette of blues and grays, underscoring the building’s importance as a modern American architectural achievement.
